About Us

the seeing brain provides mobile functional vision assessment, orthoptic support, and vision therapy, focused on how vision is used in everyday life. Seeing begins in the brain, and differences or injury to the brain can affect how visual information is processed and used—often in ways not identified through standard eye tests.
Services are delivered in real-world environments, including the home, school, workplace, and community, allowing vision to be assessed and supported where it matters most.
Areas we support: Brisbane, Gold Coast, and Sunshine Coast with telehealth available Australia-wide
Meet your orthoptist - Krish

Hi, I’m Krish. I’m an orthoptist with over seven years’ experience helping people make the most of their vision—whether at home, school, work, or in the community. I trained at La Trobe University and have worked across Melbourne, Adelaide, and now Brisbane, gaining experience in a range of clinical settings.
Early in my career, I focused on assessing and treating specific visual symptoms in clinics. Over time, I realised that vision is rarely just about the eyes—it affects how we move, communicate, learn, and connect with others. That’s why I shifted to a holistic, functional approach: looking at how vision is actually used in everyday life, and working with families to create practical strategies that fit their routines.
I work with people of all ages, including those with neurological or neurodevelopmental differences and acquired brain injury. I provide mobile functional vision assessments, so I can meet you where life happens and make changes that really stick.
As a mother, I get how overwhelming appointments, recommendations, and support systems can feel. My focus is on education, collaboration, and achievable strategies—sometimes using toys, pets, or everyday life as therapy tools.
“I don’t treat a diagnosis—I help families reach the goals that matter most, using creative strategies that actually fit into daily life.”
